Saturday 14 February 2009 – 89.2kg

Wow!  I’m the lowest I’ve ever been!!!!  I’m so excited.

I didn’t eat well today.  I helped a friend out at her shop, and didn’t eat until dinner.  I know this is bad.  I went to a friends’ for dinner, and the meal was yummy, but there was a lot more fat than I would usually have.

  • Breakfast: nothing
  • Lunch: nothing
  • Dinner: Fried rice, pork with choi sun sauce (I’m not really sure how it is spelt, but it was really sweet), and bok choi stir-fried (I presume it was stir-fried in butter – that’s what the liquid in the pan looked like.

Unfortunately, I ate far too much, but this was mainly because I was so hungry from not eating anything during the day.  I’ll learn from this mistake.

Friday 13 February 2009 – 89.7kg

I’m down below 90kgs!!!!  For those of you that measure in pounds, it’s 198lbs.  Still no exercise this week.  I think I might have a bug as well as TOM.  It doesn’t normally hit me this bad.  I’m now under 90kg, which is exciting, and since I’m not exercising, I’m really surprised.  Let’s see how long it lasts.

Here’s what I ate today:

  • Breakfast: ham, cheese and tomato on a wholegrain muffin (lite’n’easy)
  • Morning Snack: cinnamon scroll, 2 chocolate muffins and a freddo frog (farewell morning tea for a work colleague)
  • Lunch: Asian chicken salad with crispy noodles (lite’n’easy)
  • Dinner: none – I was too tired

I think I did well at the farewell morning tea.  Ordinarily I would have eaten twice or three times as much as what I did.  I think I was well restrained.

Thursday 12 February 2009 – 90.2kg

No exercise again today.  I made it through work, but was exhausted when I got home.  I’m blaming it on TOM.

Here’s what I ate today:

  • Breakfast: cheese & tomato on wholegrain muffin (lite’n’easy)
  • Lunch: Mediterranean salad (lite’n’easy)
  • Snacks: two fruits tub and muesli bar (lite’n’easy)
  • Dinner: macaroni cheese (lite’n’easy)
  • Dessert: 2 x rich choc (weight watchers)

Wednesday February 11 2009 – 90.0

Today TOM started – it’s not fair.  It’s only been 19 days since the last one finished!!!  Anyway, my weight is down 0.6kg from yesterday.

I was so tired I didn’t exercise again today, and was in bed by 7:30.

Here’s what I ate today:

  • Breakfast: Turkish bread with vegemite
  • Lunch: steamed Chinese dumplings
  • Dinner: no dinner – too tired
  • Snacks: 1 serving each of cashews and cranberries, 4 servings of rice crackers (I wanted the salt), 2 rich chocolate desserts (weight watchers)

Tuesday 10 February 2009 – 90.6

I didn’t exercise tonight because of exhaustion.  I was in bed at 6:30, and was asleep by 7.  I also slept on the train on the way home, so maybe I’m coming down with something, or it’s the fact I’m recovering from the heat….

  • Breakfast: vegemite on turkish bread
  • Lunch: hokkien noodles (lite’n’easy)
  • Snacks: banana & date muffin (lite’n’easy), 2 servings of cashews and 1 serving of cranberries
  • Dinner: nothing

Monday 9 February 2009 – 90.7

No change since yesterday’s weight, but that’s a good thing.  At least it hasn’t gone up!!

The temperature finally cooled down – it only got to 23 degrees today!!  This meant when I went boxing, it wasn’t so bad….  My trainer still worked me hard though.

Here’s what I ate today..

  • Breakfast: Spanish omelette (lite’n'easy)
  • Lunch: penne pasta (lite’n'easy)
  • Dinner: Fettuccini Provencale (lite’n'easy)
  • Snacks: 2 servings of cashews, 1 serving of cranberries, 1 x mango chiller

Sunday 8 February 2009 – 90.7

Today was just as hot as yesterday.

Well, I’ve gone up with my weight.  Not by much, but still up.  Probably because of what I ate on Friday night.  It was fun, and I won’t be doing it again for a while, so I’ll chalk that one up to experience.  I’ve still lost over 3kg though (7.2lbs).

Here’s what I ate today:

  • Breakfast: egg on wholemeal roll with basil-in-a-tube and some mayo (yummmm!!!!)
  • Lunch: didn’t feel like eating due to the heat
  • Dinner: home made salad with lettuce, cashews, dried cranberries, carrot and mayo / sweet chilli sauce dressing
  • Dessert: 2 x fruit tubs (weight watchers)

There really hasn’t been much change since last week, except my Left thigh is smaller at the bottom but bigger at the top, and I’m loosing my bust…. Oh well, there’s always next week.  This is a total loss of 1.5cm from last week, but 42cm from 11 January (my first readings!)

Saturday 8 February 2009 – 90.9 kg

Today was hot!!!  It got to 42.3C (that’s 108F)

I got up and was at the pool by 8am, and swam 2.2km.  That’s the furthest I’ve swam in one session since I’ve started this crusade.  I used to swim more than this when I was at school, but that was over 20 years ago!!

I had a late breakfast that I made with ingredients I bought from the shop, and I didn’t eat dinner because it was still hot.

  • Breakfast: egg on wholemeal roll with basil-in-a-tube and some mayo (yummmm!!!!)
  • Morning snacks: 2 x muffin bar (weight watchers)
  • Lunch: bombay potato (lite’n'easy) – this was also a kind of early dinner
  • Afternoon snacks: fruit and jelly (weight watchers – 0 points!!) and 1 x rich dessert (weight watchers)
  • Dinner: too hot to think about cooking!!!

Friday 6 February 2009 – 90.9kg

Ten years ago today I got married.  Tonight I celebrated with my mum and a glass of champagne.  We celebrated the fact that I am no longer married!

I met mum in the city after work, and we spent a really nice night together.  My sister was flying up from Melbourne, but her flight wasn’t due in until late, so I didn’t get to see her (I live at least an hour away from the city – and with trains every 30 min, I don’t want to just miss one).

I think I chose well for dinner.  It was delicious, and the least fattening thing on the menu.  Mum had the same thing.

Here’s what I ate today:

  • Breakfast: Vegemite and Cheese on grain toast (lite’n'easy)
  • Morning snack: 1 Black Forest Muffin Bar (weight watchers)
  • Lunch: chicken spaghetti (lite’n'easy)
  • Dinner: barramundi fillet on roasted vegetables
  • Dessert: 1 x Rich Chocolate (weight watchers)

My exercise was walking from Central Station to Market Street in the heat.  It took about 20 mins, and I was saturated in sweat when I finally got there.  Luckily the hotel mum was in had a pool, but it was no good for lap swimming.  I took my swimming gear with me to do laps, but I just sat there and relaxed with mum.

Thursday 5 February 2009 – 90.9kg

Today was hot again.  I was on site at lunch, and met a former colleague.  I didn’t have the best food choice for lunch….

I swam 1.2km today before the pool shut.  I was really tired by the end of the day.

Here’s what I ate….

  • Breakfast: cheese and ham on soy & linseed toast (lite’n'easy)
  • Morning snack: black forest muffin bar (weight watchers)
  • Lunch: pad thai (at a Thai restaurant)
  • Dinner: Pasta marinara with napoli sauce (lite’n'easy)
  • Dessert: 2 x rich chocolate desserts (weight watchers)
